cory & ami... in a past life...

this is a picture story of the love of my life and i...

in 1950 cory was african american.
and i had short beautiful hair.

by 1952 cory had changed... grown into a very handsome young man.
and... we fell head over heels in love.
i loved his blue eyes and he loved my freckles.
awwwww... what a cute couple.

i pretended i couldn't see very well so that i
could get these very stylish glasses.
(i don't know why we all did that!)

cory just kept getting more and more handsome.
and i, decided i'd try a whole new look.
cory hated it... looking back at this photo, i now know why.
(what was i thinking?)

by 1958 i was back to my old self.
people told me i looked just like my grandma looked at that age.
i remember i loved my hair that day at school...

oh no, it was in 1960 cory's eyes went bad..
i was a sweetheart and wore my glasses again to make him feel better.
apparently i look like my mom in this photo.
who woulda thought!

i decided i'd take a shot at growing my hair out...
cory became a bit of a dweeb.
(but sure was cute!)

in 1966 we were voted the school's most beautiful couple.
and were even crowned as prom king & queen!

then during a game truth or dare with some cronies,
we both had to color our hair super dark.
i thought it made cory look very manly.
(ooo la la)

screw the dark hair. i went back to being a blonde-babe!

and then I didn't cut it once for 4 years..
as you can see... cory didn't cut his either.

time for both of us to get perms!
i also cut mine for locks of love.
i cried. hated my new hair.
people called me "frizz".

people always told me cory looked just like my dad in this photo..
(no wonder i love him!)

1986 was just a bad year.
(we thought it would be fun to try to look alike.. WHY!?)

and so was 88.
(however, i loooooved cory's mullet. SO sexy!)

ah, my favorite hairstyle of all time.
and i used to comb cory's hair every morning in homeroom so that it
could be parted right down the middle.
(it was sort of our little ritual...:)

the 90s rocked...

then cory discovered liquor and cigarettes.
(he was hanging with the wrong crowd.)

but soon he figured things out and was back to his handsome self!

and the rest is history for these love birds!

clarification.

for those of you who didn't understand my last post..
my wireless mouse was activated in my case because
it was close to my laptop. so it was clicked by accident
which disabled my laptop-pad-mouse-thing, which in
turn caused my technical difficulties.

the dork award goes to me.

today i worked from home.

i decided i'd spend the second half of my day downstairs on the big comfy couch with the big screen tv and who could forget, pony (aka. lucy the vizsla). i loaded up on the necessities... laptop, power cord, work papers, calendar, phone and a glass of ice water. that way i wouldn't have to go back upstairs for awhile. (i'm so smart)

got all set up and as i started to work, noticed i was having some technical difficulties. it has happened before.. just have to restart, so i thought. it's as if the laptop-touch-pad-mouse-thing is stuck, clicked down, and won't come undone because wherever the cursor is on the screen, it stays holding on to that spot. i couldn't click on anything else. extremely frustrating. so i restarted. came back on and sure enough, it happened again. and again. and again. and again. wtf? it's starting to really get to me now. this probably went on close to an hour.

and then.

AH-HA!

(picture a cartoon where a real life light bulb lights up as it floats over the top of one's head.)

uhhhh, where's my wireless mouse?? (i thought.. maybe even said outloud)

oh, handy, it's in my laptop case just to the left of me, on the end table.

and that was my major technical difficulty for almost an hour.

awesome.
