half-cat dog.

Lucy. Lucy. Lucy.
(aka. Pony, Little Baby, Little Teeny Tiny Baby, Puppy, Luce, Lucers, Little)
No matter how crabby, mad, or sad I am and even on the worst of days, this silly hound makes me smile. No matter how bad she may misbehave at any given time or how much of a hassle it may be to go on vacation because she needs a babysitter, I never ever ever find myself wishing she wasn't part of my life.

I'm quite certain that on most days this little pup sleeps all hours away until someone gets home. But when I work from home it's another story. I don't know if it's possible, but I think she loves me even more when I am home with her for the day. She is constantly on the move, taking out each and every toy from the toy box and playing with each one for a little bit. She will sit by my chair and make puppy-dog noises as she looks at me as if she's trying to tell me something. I usually just say back "Oh really? I didn't know that!" or "Are you singing me songs?" which in turns makes her do it more. Then she'll nudge her little snout under my arm until I pet her. Sometimes she decides she must sit with me in whatever chair I may be in. Once it was the bigger leather computer chair, but the other day it was a little kitchen table chair.. She puts her front paws up on the chair and soon (after a little encouragement), jumps up and sits down on the chair behind me curling her head around my neck to give me puppy kisses on my face. (Her way of saying thank you.)

But one of my favorite weird things about her are her cat-like habits. I think she's sat on the back of each couch in the house.. it's her favorite spot of all time. If it's not on the back, then it's on an arm rest (like in the photos above). And not only does she do that, she will also walk around the side of the bed or couch and rub up against it as she walks. And she does kitty stretches where she arches her back really high and her legs are straight and tall. And last but not least she can jump up onto the counter ever so light-footed and gracefully, just like a cat. I'm not going to lie, the first time she did it I laughed and made her do it again, like 5 times. It might have been one of the funniest things I've seen her do. Lets just hope she's not doing that when no one is home...
