i know i'm not perfect either. and i know i make no sense at times when i speak, but people, is it that difficult to have proper grammar OR at the very least, to use words that are, in fact, real– not made up? maybe it's a southern minnesota thing or maybe it's a hastings thing because i'd never ever ever heard it in my 25 years on this earth until i moved to hastings. this is the one that really drives me up the wall:
acrossed.
acrosst?
i wouldn't even know how the hell to spell it. believe me, i even tried to look it up. it was nowhere to be found. why on earth do people think this is a word?? (to my fellow pennsylvania reader... do you ever hear this word used out there?)
a couple others...
supposebly. (nope, pretty sure it's with a "d", supposedly)
"i seen it the other day." ("i SAW it the other day". people who say "i SEEN it" sound like white trash. sorry.)
"i ain't going with her." ("I'M NOT going with her". if you use ain't as a word, you belong on jerry springer.)
and adults who can't figure out the difference between two, to, & too and they're, their, & there need to go back to english class.
thanks. bye.

acrossed...not sure if I've heard that one. out here they say yous, like nice meetin' yous. you is plural and singular. ugh.
I too have pet peeves with all the words you mentioned. I hate it when people say drown-ded. I'm always tempted to correct but usually end up biting my tongue...
