Riding our bikes to the grocery store to buy stuff for dinner.. I always wanted to stock up on yogurt and whatever else we needed while we were there, but soon realized we only had a small back pack to hold it all! The yogurt usually had to wait for the next trip...
The time in Jamaica on our way to Dunn's River Falls in the bus.. my best friend and I thought we would take pictures with our heads out the window. At the time nothing could have been funnier to us. The reflection of our heads in the window made it look like we had two and for some reason it. was. hilarious. :)
Seeing four of the cutest, tiniest, sweetest little vizslas run out of a kennel that was in the back of a truck, towards me. I knew the moment I saw them that I wasn't leaving without one in my arms.
The last 100 meters of the mile run at a track meet that would determine if you advance to districts. I passed the teammate that beat me in every other race (her legs were longer people!), got 4th place (which wasn't good enough to advance), however ran the fastest mile in my life... six minutes flat.
The road trip out to Montana one summer with my parents. My boyfriend came with and we rode in the back of the car the entire way.. us and about three feather pillows, a down comforter, and a laptop to watch movies! It quite possibly may have been the most comfortable road trip yet. ;)
The moment I got through customs in Australia and walked out the doors into the lobby where crowds of people were waiting for their someone to arrive, then seeing my best friend waiting for me! We were so happy and excited to see each other after such a long wait that it brought tears to my eyes when we finally got to give each other a big hug!
The phone call that I so desperately wanted that told me I was being offered a job. I happened to be driving in the middle of 494, on my way to a concert, with not a clue as to where I was going when my phone rang and I knew it must be about the job. I had to answer!
My first (and only so far) attempt at snowboarding. Lets just say it took at least an hour (maybe two?) to get down the "mountain" (ok, it was a hill.. a big hill). I had to stop about 79 times to "take a break" and regain my composure. At the very end I was going so good when my board dug into the snow sending me down to the ground at about 20 mph. Needless to say my sunglasses, hat, and whatever else was able to detach, did, as well as knock the wind out of me. Ouch.
The time I found a ring that had been given to me after not having it for a couple days. I went home every day for lunch to eat and of course watch Days with my roomies! I made myself a salad and was deep into the lame soap opera as I ate. Looking down briefly at my next forkful startled me and for a moment I felt like I was being proposed to (or something!) when I noticed the ring attached to the fork with my bite of salad. It was just plain weird and unexpected!!
More random memories to come... stand by.
